The EURL-PPR will organise a Proficiency Test (PT) for PPR beginning of May 2023. This year, the main objective of the PT is to strengthen and harmonise the ability of the laboratories to detect PPRV antibodies by ELISA and to detect PPRV genomic material by RT-PCR or RT-QPCR. The National Reference Laboratory (NRL) of all Member States and of closely collaborating neighbouring countries are invited to participate free of charge.

NRLs need to confirm their participation to this proficiency test before the 7th of April.

The panels for the proficiency test will be sent to the address of the NRLs, as provided in the NRL list accessible on the EURL-PPR website. The NRLs must check that this address is still correct to ensure that they receive the panels in due time.
