We are pleased to inform you that the EURL-PPR will organise a Proficiency Test (PT) for PPR beginning of May 2021. This year, the main objective of the PT is to strengthen and harmonise the ability of the laboratories to detect PPRV antibodies by ELISA and to detect PPRV genomic material by RT-PCR or RT-QPCR. The National Reference Laboratory (NRL) of all Member States and of closely collaborating neighbouring countries are invited to participate free of charge.
Please send an email to contact-eurl-ppr@cirad.fr to confirm that your laboratory will participate to this proficiency test before the 2nd of April.
The panels for the proficiency test will be sent to the address of the NRLs, as provided in the NRL list accessible on the EURL-PPR website. Please check that this address is still correct to ensure that you receive the panels in due time.
If any specific document is necessary for the import of the panel in your country (certificate of quality, MTA etc…), please inform us as soon as possible.
All details about the implementation of the PT and methods to use will be sent to you in due time.
